When I read The Host, I fell in love with Ian. He is just one of my favorite characters of all times. The love that he feels for Wanda is just so pure and noble. Ian didn’t care about what Wanda was; he just wanted to be with her no matter what. He held her in times when no one else was there to be found. When Wanda decides to die so Melanie could live, Ian was devastated. He couldn’t believe that the love of his life was going to die. He fought for her life, and that’s why Wanda didn’t die.
